The bar just got set higher for Turbo Powered 2011+ Coyote Mustang street cars. Holding the record for over a year, TWINTURBO50.COM recently headed back out to the drag strip with their Twin Turbo Coyote to improve on their previous best of 9.37@154 which was run at the 2012 NMRA Bowling Green event.

Although it was more like summer weather, the two ton Mustang was able to lay down a 9.26@155 without breaking a sweat. Density Altitude was in the 1,000 feet range all day with temps in mid 70s.

This is an R&D car for the TWINTURBO50.COM Project which is a joint effort between Lund Racing, Power by the Hour and L&M Engines. The turbo system was finalized late last year and should be available for purchase in a few short months.

926-picThe only changes made from the standard kit to achieve these times are a larger ice box for the intercooler and fuel system components, along with other parts not related to the turbo system (built engine, transmission work, suspension). Most aftermarket power adders are designed around a stock vehicle but don’t really grow well with the car without expensive changes. This system was designed to scale from a bone stock car all the way up to a low 9 second street car without having to invest more at each stage.

TWINTURBO50.COM is currently taking pre orders for the turbo system, so head over there for more details on the kit and information on the pre order process!
