If you have been watching our Social Media and this blog for a while you will be familiar with Frank Perdomo’s 1991 Coyote Swapped Fox. The car has been a part of PBH even before PBH legally existed. Frank and PBH owner Jake Long worked together at a local Ford dealer long before PBH existed. At that dealer the side work that would eventually launch the company was going on after hours. The dealer did not want to take on the high performance work so Frank, in the parts department, would get the customers in touch with Jake, service tech, to get the job done. As things would be Jake would leave the dealer and launch Power By The Hour Performance.

From there he grew his business to what you see today. The whole time Frank’s coupe was there being updated, worked on, changed, and repaired. We fast forward to 2015 when the coyote swap craze was in full effect. Frank had just lost another windsor engine at the track and with the winds of fate blowing in his favor, he got a Coyote engine and started the swap. At the same time an opportunity developed with a sponsor to run in the American Iron series and the car progressed even more getting a Tig vision Cage, Scott Rod interior panels, full Maximum Motorsports suspension, ARH headers, Maier racing flares, AIM data acquisition, and much more. The car campaigned solidly for a year in the AI field in Florida. The Sponsorship deal changed and Frank was left, happily, with a full blown race car that needed a new purpose. Choosing not to sell the car, he opted to give Autocross a chance. He had done very little of the cone chasing before and was ready for the challenge. Being a fan of the Goodguys Autocross he opted to try that out first in Nashville in 2019. It was an eye opener for Frank and left knowing there was much work to be done before he returned to the Goodguys series. Testing began at the local PBIR Autocross League and with ERSCC here in the area. These runs will help get the car sorted for another run in the coming hear at Goodguys and other events in the area.

In this video, you can hear about the car and the weekend from Frank himself. You also get some in car footage. Ride along with Frank as he works to get the car setup for more autocross action in the future.
