By now you have seen and heard a lot about Coffeeman’s Coyote. The evolution of the car has been well documented along side the Twin Turbo 5.0. The goal for both cars is the same. Be the fastest Mustangs on the planet while keeping gear as stock as possible. Items like the differential, transmission, full interior, etc are all part of the equation. Coffeeman’s car is getting it done with an FRPP low compression Aluminator engine, F1C Procharger, 6R80 6spd automatic with Circle D converter and Excedy friction materials, Water to air inter cooler, a lot of wrench time from PBH, and Lund Racing tuning via Ken Bjonnes. The record we were chasing had previously been held By Chris Cruz out of the Evolution camp. He had ran an 8.99@153mph with his Whipple Supercharged Coyote with a 6R80 auto also tuned by Lund Racing. We had come close several times but recently we finally got it! Coffeeman piloted his Coyote to a record breaking 8.97 @ 152mph. We want to congratulate and thank Coffeeman on getting it done. Future plans for the car is to dial it back and do some bracket racing. Enjoy the video from That Racing Channel. PBH Performance is here to help you get your Coyote down the track and do it fast.

I know mileage isn’t a driving factory but how is the mileage on these 2 cars? I love how you guys have been pushing the “street” car envelope with them!
Mileage as in MPG?
Yeah, it’s kind of an odd question I know but curious as to how user friendly they are
The turbo car has really good street manors, although we have not done testing, we believe mpg will be good as the turbo system is really efficient. The procharged car is loud at idle, but can be driven daily. It has not gotten many street miles to date, but we beieve it would “OK” on fuel consumption. also keep in mind that both cars are on E85 and you will burn at least 30% more fuel with E85 vs 93 octane.
Thank you for the detailed response, that’s exactly what I was wondering, I DD my 550hp 03 Cobra and didn’t know how we’ll these cars could be daily driven. It’s nice to know that technology has progressed enough to allow cars to be reliably built to these standards, keep up the great work!
Your Welcome Jay. Good luck with your cobra, if we can help you with anything in the future, feel free to contact us.
