Power By The Hour Performance has released its latest Coyote Swap Product. Aimed at making all swaps easier to complete, this new lineup of No Tune Required Mass Air flow housings and Complete Cold Air Intake kits will help any builder finish the job.
What PBH has done is duplicate the oem size maf meters in a cnc aluminum housing for all three generations of the Coyote engines. The maf housing is part of the lid on a factory air box which in some cases limits installation options due to its size and dimensions. There are aftermarket or even custom options to get around this issue, but in most cases the custom size of the MAF housings or different shaped tubes can lead to more issues. The placement of the maf meter and diameter of the tube is crucial to ensuring that the engine will run as expected. Although custom tuning and calibration can over come most of these issues, custom size meters can still throw even the most experience tuners for a loop when writing the new file.
The PBH MAF housings take all the guess work out of this area by providing a stand alone maf housing that will work with oem sensors and provide the oem diameter tube. What does this mean for you? use of this MAF housing will require no custom tuning since it shares the exact dimensions of the oem housing. Additionally it is compatible with oem maf meters that are found on the donor vehicle or in a control pack. Installation of this maf housing will supply a consistent and clean maf reading which ensures your swap will have oem idle quality and performance.
Builders will have a few options related to the MAF housing: PBH will offer the housing with air filter by itself for builders that will need to make a custom intake tube and will also offer a complete cold air kit that will include a 24″ polished aluminum tube that can be cut down to required size, pcv provisions, silicone elbow, coupler, and clamps. Both options will be available for all three generations of the Coyote engine.
